“Motorola”: Editorial Advertising Concept

This design was created for an advertising assignment in which we had to promote an existing product in a two-page magazine spread. I chose to market flip phones to Gen-Z, creating copy that encourages them to spend less time on their smartphones. However, the issue was the overall design- how would I get the attention of Gen-Z while also marketing a product that is extremely outdated? I focused on making the flip phone feel cool and trendy, experimenting with text and color throughout the layout. I enjoyed creating the “Back to the Future” theme, aiming to design something eye-catching and youthful.
